Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, Ala.) wide receiver Nico Collins has long been a recruiting target of both Alabama and Michigan.
On Wednesday night, coaches from both schools showed up for an in-home visit—at different times, presumably.
Much has been made about Collins being in the middle of a recruiting war between his home state school and the Wolverines, especially given the recruiting feud that went down this summer between Jim Harbaugh and Nick Saban.

And while many assumed, given his location, that Alabama led for his services, Collins said otherwise this summer.
“They’ve always been the leader,” Collins said of Michigan in July. “They’ve always been up there from the first two times I went. Everything about Michigan. The coaching staff, it’s a tradition-type school and just the vibe of the coaches, it’s good.”
Of course, much could have changed in the interim. Further, Collins is expected to visit LSU this weekend.
In any event, it doesn’t appear the coaching staffs in Tuscaloosa and Ann Arbor plan to cede an inch to the other side in their recruitment of Collins.
